The 50th anniversary of the “March on Washington” and Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech gives us the chance to reflect on the enormous positive changes that have taken place over the last half century in terms of civil rights. My initial impression of the 2013 NYC Green Festival at the Javits Center was delightful sensory overload! From the smell of organic truffle butter popcorn to the impressive colorful tower of reclaimed soda lids, I felt like a kid in a candy store and did not know where to dash first (the gourmet buttered popcorn won).
