The H(app)athon Project is an Initiative that is crowdsourcing a digitally focused Happiness Indicator and is creating an app/methodology that lets people measure and improve their well-being. Happiness Indicators or Indexes like Gross National Happiness from Bhutan reflect a fuller picture of value for a country beyond the GDP. We (our Committee) want the value of people reflected by technologies/groups like Quantified Self and the Internet of Things to be a part of our metrics so we can ‘give Big Data a direction.’
In non-geek speak, we want to use modern technologies and transparency to provide the most accurate and holistic picture of global well-being possible to inspire and grow digitally inspired acts of kindness.
We’d love for you to sign up for our newsletter, sign up to take our upcoming mobile survey, or spread the word about our Project so we can Geek Happiness Up a Notch and create a new metric for Value in the Digital Age.
