The H(app)athon Project is an Initiative that is crowdsourcing a digitally focused Happiness Indicator and is creating an app/methodology that lets people measure and improve their well-being. Happiness Indicators or Indexes like Gross National Happiness from Bhutan reflect a fuller picture of value for a country beyond the GDP. We (our Committee) want the value of people reflected by technologies/groups like Quantified Self and the Internet of Things to be a part of our metrics so we can ‘give Big Data a direction.’
